Five Stocks That Fell the Most Since Listing

Nearly 57% of the stocks traded in the red as per September 27 market statistics reported by the NSE (National Stock Exchange). Out of the 37 IPOs on NSE in the past year, only Adani Wilmar Ltd., and Data Patterns India Ltd., gave 100% return.

PB Fintech Ltd. aimed to raise 3,750 crores even though the IPO size was only 5,626 crores. Their share price moved from 1,150 to 1,210 rupees per share on its opening day. It hiked to 1,440 on November 18, 2021. Their stock tanked 57.6%. Q1 FY23 profits remained at 505 crores, down 6.4%. As of June 2022, mutual funds had a 2.5% stake. Investors in the retail segment owned around 82.8% of the company, and its current market cap is 21,239 crores.

One97 Communication Ltd., a parent company of Paytm, has investors like Alibaba.com, Elevation Capital, Softbank, and Antfin Holdings. The IPO size of Paytm was 18,300 crores, and its shares fell from 1,560 to 201 rupees on the day they opened. Their stock tanked 57.3% since its listing. Q1 FY23 profits remained at 1,680 crores, up 9.02%. As of June 2022, mutual funds had a 1.4% stake. Investors in the retail segment owned around 93.4% of the company, and its current market cap is 42,828 crores.

The IPO size of Fino Payment Bank was 1200 crores, and its shares fell by one rupee from 544 rupees on the day they opened. Further, it dropped from 515 to 445 rupees sharply on November 18. Their stock tanked 56.2% since its listing. Q1 FY23 profits remained at 289 crores, up 1.4%. Promoters owned 75%, foreign institutions 9.8%, and fund houses 7.3% of the company. The company’s current market cap is 1,951 crores.

AGS Transact Technology planned to reduce its debt which was around 1,100 crores. Its IPO size was 680 crores. Ravi B Goyal, a promotor, sold the shares for 677 crores in an offer. On opening day, the IPO fell 8.5% from 175 rupees. Promoters owned 65.5%, while retail investors and mutual fund houses had 22.07% and 6.8% of the company. The company’s market cap is 959 crores.

The size of Med Plus Health Services was 1,398 crores, with shares worth 798 crores. The share’s opening price was 1040 rupees which increased by 6.4% in a day. On January 21, it reached 1,290 rupees and dropped 39.03% since its listing. Q1 FY23 profits increased 23.1%, around 3,779 crores. Promoters owned 40.43%, while retail investors and mutual fund houses had 44.13% and 12.29% of the company. The company’s market cap is 7,254 crores.
