87 SMEs Raise Over Rs 1,400 Crore in Initial Share Sales: Latest IPO News
87 medium and small enterprises (SMEs) raised Rs 1,460 crore ($200 million) in initial public offerings (IPOs) in the sectors of pharma, IT, infrastructure, hospitality, jewelry, and automotive components. This amount is higher than the Rs 783 crore ($105 million) raised by 56 companies in 2021, and more mature companies are expected to use the platform in 2022. In September, 29 SMEs made their way into the primary market, with 25 concluded and 4 still in progress.
The BSE SME IPO saw the highest subscription for Isolation Energy, which was subscribed 183 times. As more companies list themselves on the NSE Emerge and BSE SME platforms, the financial performance of some companies increases, attracting more investors. 20 firms raised Rs 43,275 crore ($5.8 billion) between January and September, while 63 firms raised 1.2 lakh crores ($16.2 billion) in 2011.
